Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre presents the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet (November 14th) The Aspen Santa Fe Ballet’s threefold vision – top global choreographers, groundbreaking repertoire, and virtuoso dancers – is brought to life as three leading dance-makers from Spain and Finland present choreography that showcases the technique and interpretive skill of the talented eleven-person ensemble. And… Willian Prince: On Stage Concert (November 29th & 30th) With the audience seated cabaret style on stage, this Concert Series allows for audiences to relax and enjoy an up-close and personal concert in this intimate venue. This year’s first On Stage Concert features William Prince! Okanagan Symphony Orchestra presents The French Connection (November 24th – 26th) This concert celebrates the lush and visceral music of the French romantics before the impressionists came on the scene. 5. Liberation Days at The New Vintage Theatre (November 8th – 10th) After years of terror under the German occupation in WWII, The Netherlands are liberated by Canadian Forces. In the weeks that follow a Dutch woman and Canadian soldier fall in love and try to forge a new life together just as the community is coming to terms with what has been taken away. 7. Romeo and Juliet at the Shuswap Theatre (November 3rd – 18th) Ah! Young love doomed by an ancient grudge, meddling parents, and a society rife with violence. Sound familiar? 8. Opening Day at Big White (November 23rd) Big White will be celebrating Opening Day with a party at the bottom of the Ridge Rocket Express. 10. Big White’s Winter Warm Up Kickoff! (December 1st) To kick off the winter festivities Big White has assembled a massive bonfire in Happy Valley big enough to keep the whole mountain warm!
